Which plan you need
Free if you are a person (16+) making your own content and link your YouTube and/or Twitch channel. Brands, agencies, games, apps, films, ads and in-store play need a separate licence (licensing@chillhop.com).
Can you monetize?
Yes, but only on qualifying productions where the required credits are applied and only on your linked YouTube or Twitch channel. Monetization does not widen the license.
How to credit Chillhop Music
YouTube: paste the credit shown after download into the description before publishing (or 'Music provided by Chillhop Music - https://chillhop.com/creatorcred' for multiple tracks). Twitch: make a channel panel with a Chillhop credit image linked to https://chillhop.ffm.to/creatorcred.
Content ID, claims, and VOD mutes
Chillhop's music is not royalty-free; it is licensed through the Creators Program. Chillhop monitors linked channels and releases claims on credited videos. If you got a claim despite crediting correctly, contact them (hello@chillhop.com or Discord) and they fix it. The licence ends if you unlink the channel or leave the program, though compliant, correctly credited videos may stay up.
Not sure how claims, strikes, and mutes differ? Read our DMCA guide.
Watch out for
- Only YouTube and Twitch. No TikTok, Instagram, Kick or other platforms.
- Only individuals (16+), not companies or brands.
- Must sign up, link your channel, and apply the credits every time; missing credits void the license for that video.
- No 24/7 music streams, music-only uploads, remixes, added lyrics or rapping over tracks.
- Do not use the website radio player, Spotify or Apple Music playlists as your source; they include tracks not in the program.
- Chillhop can remove tracks or end your participation at any time, and does not guarantee claim-free results.
