About StreamerMusic

StreamerMusic helps streamers and creators find music they can actually use, and tells them plainly where it's safe. It's a free resource from StreamerSquare, the creator education hub founded by Lowco in 2014, run by people who stream themselves and have dealt with muted VODs and copyright claims first-hand.

We built it because “copyright-free music” is one of the most misleading phrases in streaming. A track can be cleared for Twitch live and still get your VOD muted, or be free to use and still trigger a YouTube Content ID claim. Creators deserve a straight answer per platform, not a vague “safe” label.

How we check every source

  1. We read the license, not the marketing. Each platform rating comes from the source's own terms, license, or FAQ, and every source page links to the page we used.
  2. We rate each platform separately. Twitch live, Twitch VODs and clips, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Kick each get their own rating and a one-line explanation.
  3. If the terms don't say, we don't guess. Anything we can't confirm is marked “Not confirmed” rather than assumed safe.
  4. We re-check and date-stamp. Licenses change. Every source page shows when it was last verified. The whole directory (32 sources) was last checked October 2026.

What the ratings mean

Safe
The license explicitly allows it. Credit the artist if the listing says to, and you're covered.
Safe with steps
Allowed, but you have to do something first: register or whitelist your channel, be on a paid plan, or follow a specific credit format.
Not allowed
The license excludes this platform. Using it here can get you claimed, muted, or struck.
Not confirmed
The terms don't say. We couldn't confirm it either way, so treat it as a risk.

AI music

We list AI music tools because creators ask about them, but they're always marked with an AI music badge and you can filter them out. Each AI listing explains who owns the output, which plan allows monetized use, and the claim risks specific to AI-generated tracks.

Referral links

Some outbound links are referral links, and each one is marked on its source page. A referral never changes a platform rating or which sources we list.
